LOL - oh no! Truth be told, I thought that photoshoot was rad and the coat was pretty cool. It's just that the shoulders were... notable? :D They were certainly memorable, which really does the job. If there was any true insult taken, I am sorry (for real).

Yes! I am still a very invested Critter and I am caught up with C3 and... IT'S THURSDAY! I admit, this campaign hasn't caught me like some others, but they are in some game - and possibly world - breaking shit right now. It's worth jumping back in, even if it means catching up through Dani's recaps. Also, did you watch LoVM on Amazon?

Thanks for asking about the classes. I took a general game design class and a narrative design for games class. They were 5-week intensives and I took them simultaneously (do not recommend for sanity's sake). I turn in the final project for the second one on Saturday.

If you want to catch up offline, let me know. If you want an accountability buddy or need any help with anything, let me know, and I will drop links when games are up!

Googled you after a long hiatus. Sitting here amidst another round of "notting," as you call it, and suddenly wondered, "whatever happened to Kaz?" I've been around since the poofy shoulders, through haircuts and rebrands a plenty. Still relate (far too much for probably either of our liking - always wondered if I weirded you out - sorry, I'm awkward, or maybe too alike in my own journey). I'll keep rooting for you. If one of us "gets there" maybe we can pull the other one up. Oh by the way, I discovered ADD (this was completely unwanted) and while Adderall makes me work for 15 hrs a day like a F*ing machine, my blood pressure couldn't take it and I decided it wasn't worth the stroke I was about to have. If I find a better way, I'll let you know. For now, still notting. Take care, Kaz. - Always a fan in Chicago.

I want this one to be longer than your 2021 twitter comeback, tho

YAY good to hear from you! This newsletter resonated very greatly. I get it. Shit is hard. But you wrote a thing and it's good and that's progress and all progress is good.

I’ll assume you’ve been sitting patiently on the edge of your seat and didn’t just forget you were subscribed.

And you’d be right, Kaz. I mean I wasn’t on the edge of my seat or anything fancy, but I was actively aware of your absence. And longed for the day you would (hopefully) come back. Thank the stars you’re here.

Your newsletter came as a welcome surprise, Kaz. I had wondered where you'd disappeared to.

Maybe up in the Glens?

"And I could go on feeling not-ready for the rest of my life, I swear to god."

THIS.

"I continued to dance around the edges of figuring out what the hell I want to do, professionally or otherwise."

AND THIS.

I was only thinking about you the other day (doesn't sound weird at all). Glad to see you're back, Kaz.

Glad you're back Kaz. I did wonder for a bit. And then think about sending a FB message, but it's not 2006 so who the fuck would even be logged into Facebook I know I certainly amn't.
